Ed Berliner has been at the center of broadcast media now in his 3rd decade. A 2-time Emmy Award winner, 8-time Emmy nominee, and 6-time Telly Award winner, Berliner counts himself exceptionally fortunate to have experienced historical news and sports events in front of and behind both the camera and microphone.

Berliner has been part of the management and broadcast talent structure for a number of groundbreaking cable networks. An original anchor and co-Executive Producer for the first all-sports cable network, “Sports News Network”. Lead anchor and Managing Editor for the “NewSport” cable network from its inception. Lead anchor and creative consultant for the FOX Sports “Rocky Mountain Sports Report”. Host, Managing Editor and Executive Producer at CN8.

Add to that a veteran radio talk host and reporter along with consistently being asked to contribute editorials and stories for various print publications, no one brings a greater understanding of what it takes to succeed in front of and behind the cameras.

Creating the first ever all-interview sports program in New England, “Sports Pulse” was the recipient of 17 Emmy Awards in the first 3 years of existence. As a recognized member of the New England media, Berliner capitalized on the unique mix of sports and entertainment available in Boston to conduct interviews with a wide array of sports and non-sports guests. Boston Mayor Tom Menino, MA Governor Mitt Romney, NHL legend Bobby Orr, Celtics legend Bob Cousy, actors Matt Damon and Drew Barrymore, comedians Lisa Lampanelli and Lewis Black, musicians Jon Bon Jovi and “The Dropkick Murphys”, to name just a few.

Berliner also works with a vast array of TV networks, affiliates and production companies as Producer, Director, Production Manager and Coordinator for both TV and film program development. His signature voice is also heard on numerous broadcast projects ranging from commercials to documentaries.

In radio, Berliner has managed and performed with distinction at all levels of the industry. In Miami, Berliner was part of the original programming team which created and launched the first all-sports format in South Florida. While acting as the South Florida radio correspondent for ABC, NBC, CBS, Mutual, AP, CBC and the BBC, Berliner guested as an expert commentator on radio stations in NY, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Washington D.C., Boston, Tampa, and many more top 40 markets.

Berliner’s company “Sportsline Communications” created produced and syndicated the original “Fastest Show in Sports” format for 5 years on the Prime Radio Network. This 2 hour daily program featured an all-interview format with 8 original guests per day.

As a print journalist, Berliner’s commentary can currently be read as a national contributor for "The Huffington Post

and “The Examiner” newspapers and web versions.

Berliner’s list of additional sports broadcasting accomplishments is as varied as it is impressive. He has performed play-by-play duties for NCAA football, NCAA hockey, NCAA basketball, the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins, University of Miami Football, Baseball and Basketball programs, the Motor Racing Network, Fort Lauderdale Strikers NASL Soccer, PGA and LPGA golf, the Pro Rodeo Tour, Lipton International Tennis Championships, powerboat racing events, professional men's and women's volleyball, and Arena Football.

When not in front of the cameras or microphone, Berliner’s production and management expertise has brought him recognition in other areas. Vice-President of Media Services for the BF Goodrich Trans-Am Series & American LeMans Series. Executive Sports Producer for FOX Sports, Miami. Owner/Operator of Sportsline Communications, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale Florida, producing & directing numerous broadcast and internal materials for clients such as Home Depot, Tenet Health Care, Brighton Entertainment (NYC) and the University of Miami.
